APMSO FORWARD – for Youth Empowerment Part II

After the constant struggle of APMSO (All Pakistan Mohajir Students Organization) and MQM’s (Mohajir Qoumi Movement) Leaders and especially, Founder of the movement Mr. Altaf Hussain took an important decision. In 97, Mohajir Qoumi Movement (MQM) had transformed into Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) and in 2006 All Pakistan Mohajir Students Organization into All Pakistan Muttahida Students Organization and emerged as the national political power in Pakistan. Now, it was not restricted to Mohajirs rather than it was for all deprived people of Pakistan.

Mr. Altaf Hussain, the founder of APMSO & MQM, selected a telephone operator of ninezero (Altaf Hussain house & Party HQ) and gave him responsibility to serve Karachiiets. Yes, he is Syed Mustafa Kamal, MQM and Altaf Hussain gave him responsibility of Karachi and people of Karachi, and appointed him as Mayor of Karachi. It’s not hidden to any one, what he did for every class and standard of Karachiiets. Mustafa Kamal transformed Karachi city into Europe, Chief Justice gave remarks in honor of him. Even opponents of MQM applauded the hard work of him; it was the vision of charismatic leader Altaf Hussain, what Mustafa Kamal implemented. Thousands of projects were accomplished in his tenure and he changed city into signal free corridors and over-fly bridges.

MQM has strongly came up on political mainstream of Pakistan as a trend setter they introduce & empowered common middle class and lower class people of Pakistan and sent them to Assemblies of Pakistan, MQM has set another records, MQM organized the biggest political women’s convention in the history of Pakistan on Feb 19th, 2012 at Quid-e-Azam’s mausoleum in Karachi & broke its own record of women gathering previously held in 15th July 1988 at T-Ground Dastagir & June 2005 at Nishtar Park.

World has witnessed that MQM is the trend setter; it can make any un-believable record in the history of Pakistan. From historical ‘Muft Bazar’ (Free Market), to week-long cleanliness, either you talk about cyber revolution, computer literacy programs, English learning facilities for common soul & Now Nazeer Hussain University MQM has always came up with unique ideas.

  1. Muft Bazar
    The holding of the unique and historical ‘Muft Bazar’ by the was a phenomenon, which has no parallel in the world, let alone Pakistan.  This unique “Muft Bazar” took place on the 9th and 10th June 1989, at T-Ground, Federal B. Area, Karachi.  Through this Muft Bazar, more than a hundred thousand poor and needy men and women were given goods worth more than two crore (twenty million) rupees. A procedure was adopted not only to help the destitute; but also at the same time extreme caution was made not to hurt their self-respect and pride. The goods included stitched clothing, complete dowries for girls, groceries and items for everyday use etc. The Founder and Leader of the MQM, Mr. Altaf Hussain and members of the central committee supervised the aid distribution.  Journalists, political, religious and social leaders who witnessed the ‘Muft Bazar’ unanimously agreed on its being a historical event and a unique phenomenon in Pakistan.
  1. Week Long Cleanliness Campaign
    On 8th September 1989 a week-long 9th – 16th, 1989 cleanliness campaign was launched on the direction of Altaf Hussain, where MQM’s leaders, himself Altaf Hussain, Chairman Azeem Ahmed Tariq, & secretary general Imran Farooq and others, workers and supporters regardless of their hunger, thirst and discomfort, worked tirelessly to carry out the most successful cleanliness campaign in Pakistan’s history.
  2.    Cyber Revolution

Altaf Hussain has been the biggest proponent of equipping the                     younger generation with the latest scientific knowledge. In recent days MQM has carried out a series of programmes within the Pakistan & around the world on various sectors in order to inform the students and general public about the information technology and how it is changing the world. A large number of students, particularly those interested in pursuing their studies and careers in the field of information technology were attracted to attend the seminar.

  1. SMACK
    ON 7 January 2012, MQM hold an event at Karachi Expo Center Hall 6, named SMACK, which stands for “Social Media Awareness Conference in Karachi” According to the dictionary, Smack means “to strike sharply” The concept behind SMACK is that Social Networks are growing considerably where news and media is shared at such a fast pace that within seconds Big Differences can be create.
  1. English learning & computer literacy program
    MQM is also offering English learning & computer introductory programs on units levels for free which will benefit poor & common souls.
  1. Nazeer Hussain University
    The formation of Nazeer Hussain University is an important milestone in the field of education. They said that MQM has once again proven that they believe on the equal opportunity for the nation in the education. MQM believes in practicing their manifesto and the formation of Nazeer Hussain University with many other educational projects are the fine examples of this promise.They expressed the confidence that in near future Nazeer Hussain University will soon compete among the best universities of the region and the students of the institute will be the future masonries of Pakistan.
  2. Dr Abdul Qadeer lauds NHU
    On a recent visit renowned nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan visited Nazeer Hussain University on Saturday and praised MQM leader Altaf Hussain for establishing a university for the people belonging to the poor. Dr Khan inspected the departments of Architecture, Computer Science and Business Administration and praised the work done there. He also gave useful advices for improvements. He offered fateha for late Nazeer Hussain, Altaf Hussain’s father, and appealed to the philanthropic people to donate generously to the university.
  3. First ever shadow budgetAnother milestone of MQM is the shadow budget, MQM has proved itself that it doesn’t do traditional objectives rather than gives unique ideas. Shadow budget is accordingly to the public demands and it’s in favor of middle class and lower class people of Pakistan.It’s the short story of MQM that how it covered its journey from student based movement to political power. Actually, MQM is the only political party that’s birth from the origin of ‘youth’ movement. MQM always promotes young and energetic middle class people in the politics of Pakistan. There are many more Mustafa Kamal, Faisal Subzwari, Wasay Jalil and others in the core of APMSO & MQM.Altaf Hussain Ideology for YouthMQM encourages youngsters to find new avenues for advancement by revolutionising their lives through science, technology & modern day’s education.
